What’s new

Alex Play Zone and this website are built and looked after by a small team, and both keep changing. Here is everything that has gone live, newest first.

  1. Two new guides, and real screenshots in every guide

    • New guide: a real Jam Breaker puzzle solved step by step, all 14 moves explained.
    • New guide: which game to play — sorted by who you are with and how much time you have.
    • Every guide now shows screenshots taken from real games on Alex Play Zone.
    • Guides and game pages now show when they were published and last updated.
    • This page, so you can see what changes and when.

  2. Three new puzzles: Jam Breaker, Dot Link and Balance

    • Jam Breaker: slide the cars and trucks out of the way and drive the red car out of the car park.
    • Dot Link: join every pair of matching dots and fill the whole grid.
    • Balance: hang the numbered stones so that every beam of the mobile is level.
    • Like the other puzzles, each brings a new puzzle every two hours, the same for every player.

  3. Drift Rush, three puzzles and a bigger website

    • Drift Rush, our first 3D game: race up to three friends or the computer, from one lap to ten.
    • A garage with a second car to choose, and an inside view from the driver’s seat.
    • Three puzzles with a new grid every two hours: Duet, Sudoku and Star Zones.
    • Ranks for online matches, and in chess you now choose what a promoted pawn becomes.
    • This website grew from a single page to a full page for every game, strategy guides, terms of use and a contact form.

  4. Ludo, board skins and room chat

    • Ludo, for two players or two teams of two.
    • New boards to play on, including a 3D chess board.
    • Chat with everyone in your room, with animated emotes.
    • A daily reward, and coins for inviting friends.
